Privacy Policy

The short version

Folocard is designed so your data does not leave your device. The app captures business cards, extracts the text, drafts follow-ups and stores everything locally — all on your phone, with no account required.

We do not operate a server that receives your scans, contacts, or drafts. By design, we receive nothing.

Data processed on your device only

The following are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party: camera frames and card images, recognized text (OCR) and its AI extraction, contact details, your notes and voice notes, generated follow-up drafts, and the activity / provenance trail.

This data is stored in a local database on the device. You can export it (CSV / vCard) or delete it at any time. Uninstalling the app removes it.

Permissions

Camera — to scan business cards. Frames are processed on-device.

Microphone (optional) — for voice notes, transcribed on-device.

Storage — to save your contacts and exports locally.

Network — used only to download the app and its on-device AI models; the follow-up loop itself runs offline.

AI models

The language and vision models that read cards and draft follow-ups run locally on your device. Model files are downloaded once (over the network) from a model host; your card and contact data is not sent as part of that download.

Analytics & tracking

Folocard does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. If any privacy-respecting usage analytics are added, they will be disclosed here and off by default.

Children

Folocard is intended for professional use and is not directed to children under 13.

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you are in direct control: view, export, or delete it within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes it entirely.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
