DataXad, operated by Maylen Holdings LTD in Tel Aviv, Israel, runs dataxad.com and is the controller for the data described here. If you have a question about this notice or your data, write to contact@dataxad.com.
How we measure this website
We want to know which pages help people, which ones are slow, and which ones break. To find out, we use our own first-party analytics, called edgeglint, which runs on Cloudflare. A small script loads from dataxad.com itself and sends short reports when you switch away from or leave a page. No third-party analytics or advertising service is involved.
What we collect
Each report holds only coarse, rounded values:
- the page path, normalized so that anything that looks like an ID is replaced
- the domain of the site that referred you, not the full address
- your country
- your browser window width group (small, medium or large)
- your browser and operating system, with the major version only
- how far you scrolled, in 10% steps
- how long the page was in the foreground, in 5-second steps
- whether you left the page within a few seconds
- Core Web Vitals (loading speed and layout stability), rounded into buckets
- the class of any JavaScript error, such as TypeError, with the script and line
- the element path of what you clicked (tag names and their position on the page), with click, rage-click and dead-click counts
- the domain of an outbound link you followed, or the file type of a download
What we never collect
We do not store your IP address or your browser's User-Agent string. We set no cookies for measurement and assign you no identifier, so we cannot recognize you from one visit to the next. We do not record mouse movement or sessions, and we never read form contents, page text or query strings. Cloudflare sees your IP address and User-Agent when it delivers the page. Cloudflare supplies a country code, while our code uses the User-Agent to classify the browser and the IP address to limit abusive traffic. Our code does not put these raw values in the analytics report. Cloudflare also keeps short-lived request logs for our server code, which can include this request information, for a few days for troubleshooting.
Visitors in Europe
We use Cloudflare's country code for each request. When that code is in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, edgeglint sends an empty script and drops any report. It does the same when the country code is unknown. A country code can differ from your physical location. Cloudflare still handles the request and may keep operational logs as described above.
What edgeglint does not establish
We do not claim that edgeglint is GDPR compliant or banner-free. Removing measurement cookies and visitor identifiers does not itself establish anonymous data, a consent exemption or a legal basis. This is not legal advice. The operator must review the actual deployment, including report fields, retention, Cloudflare request logs and international transfers. The country-code exclusion is a product boundary, not a legal consent map. See the edgeglint project page and FAQ and the research and comparison.
Why we do this
Our legal basis is legitimate interest: keeping the site fast, fixing errors and learning which content is useful. We limit the information in each analytics report and do not assign a visitor identifier. Some combinations of report fields may still be personal data, so we do not describe the reports as anonymous.
Where the data goes and how long we keep it
The reports are stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine. Cloudflare acts as our processor. The data is kept for 3 months and then deleted automatically.
Your choices
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, edgeglint does not collect an analytics report.
You can also opt out on this browser with this opt-out link. It sets a
cookie named t=0 that lasts 13 months and tells our script and our server not to collect edgeglint analytics reports. The page
will not change when you click it. If you clear your cookies, click it again.
